The 64th season for the Boston Celtics marks 4th season for Head Coach Glen “Doc” Rivers at the helm of the storied franchise. After winning the NBA Title in 2007, his team made it back to the Eastern Conference Finals last season but they were dispatched by the Orlando Magic in seven games.
Rumors began swirling at the end of the season that indicated both Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen were being actively shopped to other teams. GM Danny Ainge put a stop to the rumors assuring fans and players alike that he had an unstoppable championship crew assembled and little if any changes were needed. Ainge held true to his word and the only major change made was the acquisition of former Detroit Pistons PF Rasheed Wallace who signed a 3-year deal.
